Second half of my entry for :icontezuka-chan:'s contest. It's Marin! Or at least it's suppose to be. I had to redo her hair four or five times. >< Why must all the Saints have such wavy hair?

I also tired something else. Usually I scan a pencil sketch into the comuter then create the outline in GIMP. This time I tired outlining in pen then scanning it into the computer and using that outline. I'm not sure how well that worked.

Gah, >< I really need to work more on noses.

I think one thing you might want to work on is the placement of the eyes. They are to close together (just as it was with your character Photios). You might want to experiment a little with the GIMP still and move them a little apart to see how it looks then.

you started placing shadows? ^^ that's good ^^ yet I think her eyes are to close to each other.. but all in all I like it ^^

I agree with Stayka, that you need to work on eye placement. Otherwise, its adorable, I love it!

Yes, shadows are something I really thought I should start working on.

I thought something was off about the eyes, but was having trouble placing what it was. I'll be sure to pay more attention to the placement from now on.

my problem is totally the opposite. sometimes I place them way to far from each other ^^

I try to measure how far apart the eyes will by drawing three circles across where I want the eyes to be and then just erasing the center circle when I have the spacing right, but I seem to keep underestimating how much space the whole eye will take up when it's finished. >>
